Aradale posted a respectable 6-280 in its game against Navarre, which will fully test its opponents’ batting strength.

Aradale’s innings was boosted by an innings of 80 from Scotty Turner and a handy 42 from Tyler Cronin. Navarre can be expected to bat for most of the day, but 280 runs might be beyond them.

Last Sunday was the first round of an inter-regional under-21 competition, where Central Highlands took on North East Country at Castlemaine.

Although Central Highlands was soundly beaten, Chris Jerram top-scored for the Highlanders with 56 not out. Former Grampians player Harry Ganley opened the innings and scored 22.
