All abil­ity cel­e­bra­tion

Hind­marsh Shire Council lead­ers have in­vited the com­mu­nity to cel­e­brate In­ter­na­tional Day of Peo­ple with Dis­abil­i­ties on De­cem­ber 1.

Mayor Ron Is­may said the council would host an event that fo­cused on and em­pow­ered peo­ple of all abil­i­ties.

“This year council will again be cel­e­brat­ing peo­ple of all abil­i­ties in our com­mu­nity with a day full of danc­ing, per­form­ing, fun and games,” he said. “Cel­e­bra­tions will be at the sound­shell at Jaypex Park in Nhill. “This event is im­por­tant for our com­mu­nity and works to­wards the cel­e­bra­tion, in­clu­sion and aware­ness of peo­ple with all abil­i­ties.

“This is the third year council has hosted the event and we hope that lots of peo­ple can join us and make it the best cel­e­bra­tion so far.”

Fes­tiv­i­ties will run from 10am to 2pm and in­clude a tal­ent show, danc­ing lesson, bar­be­cue lunch, lake walk, games and paint­ing. Peo­ple who wish to at­tend must RSVP by Mon­day.
