Ararat students off to Nepal
A group of Ararat College students have jetted off to Nepal as part of a community education program.
Two teachers and seven students, including Isabel Kettle and Josh Fiegert, are visiting Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan during the threeweek stay. Miss Kettle said students had organised the trip. “The whole trip is student-led, from organising flights and transport to the community work we will be doing,” she said. “We will be doing community work including fence building and getting involved in the Nepalese culture.”
Miss Kettle said before departure she was really looking forward to the trip, despite being scared of heights.
The students left on Sunday and will return in time for the college’s end-of-year presentations in December.
