Brady tells life story

The Weekly Advertiser Horsham - - News -

The iconic Australian balladeer responsible for everything from anthems such as Up There Cazaly and the Hard Yakka commercial jingle entertained a capacity crowd at Horsham RSL.

Mike Brady performed at a Wimmera Australians in Retirement community forum, which chairman Rick Walker described as ‘an outstanding success’.

“We had buses come from Kaniva, Beulah and Warracknabeal. Brady spoke about his life, starting with migrating to Australia when he was a child and how he left school at 14 and soon after started his singing career,” he said.

“He performed quite a few of the commercial jingles that he wrote and sang, and concluded singing his trademark Up There Cazaly and One Day In September.”
