Creative nod for event

Grampians Music Festival has won a $13,000 Creative Victoria Music Works grant to help market the event.

Festival director Carly Flecknoe welcomed the State Government boost, which she said would be used towards marketing and public relations, including an increased digital footprint and inventive on-the-ground marketing initiatives.

“The backing and support of Creative Victoria through the Music Works grant not only provides financial support to the festival but gives our volunteer committee confidence that the festival we are creating fits perfectly in Victoria’s thriving music scene,” she said.

“The grant from Creative Victoria is fantastic news for the festival and will allow us to initiate a range of creative and innovative marketing activities that aim to capture our target market and get music lovers to Halls Gap for the first weekend in February.

“With the festival in only its second year, it’s great to see Creative Victoria and the State Government give Grampians Music Festival a vote of confidence for the value it brings to the state’s music scene and the Grampians community.”

Victorian Creative Industries Minister Martin Foley announced Music Works grants of $550,000 to support Victoria’s diverse and bustling music industry.

The grants are part of the government’s $22.2-million Music Works program and will give support to regional musicians, music industry professionals and industry
