Plenty on of­fer at Wil­laura

Mu­sic, en­ter­tain­ment and the best of re­gional pro­duce and homemade goods will be on of­fer at this year’s Wil­laura Health­care Out­door Mar­ket on Sun­day.

The mar­ket, next to Wil­laura Health­care cen­tre in Dela­combe Way, will be from 10am to 2pm.

Wil­laura Health­care Aux­il­iary mem­ber and mar­ket co­or­di­na­tor Jane Mil­lear said the mar­ket was shap­ing up to be a great day for fam­i­lies.

She said mar­ket stalls would in­clude jams, pre­serves, home­wares, metal art, cards, jew­ellery, art and craft, choco­late, fudge, plants, soy can­dles and more.

“Not only will we have stalls packed with homemade and home­grown goods, but we will have mu­sic and chil­dren’s en­ter­tain­ment,” she said.

“Pop­u­lar mu­sic duo SOFT will re­turn to the mar­ket this year and we’ll have mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment from Ararat 800 Pri­mary School’s choir and Wil­laura Pri­mary School’s band and choir.”

Mrs Mil­lear said chil­dren’s en­ter­tain­ment would in­clude a jump­ing cas­tle, mini-golf and track­less train.

She added that vin­tage cars would also be on dis­play for mo­tor­ing en­thu­si­asts and gourmet food and cof­fee and Wil­laura Aux­il­iary’s Tea House would also be at the mar­ket.

Dur­ing the past 12 years Wil­laura Health­care Out­door Mar­ket has raised more than $63,000 for Wil­laura Health­care, with money go­ing to­wards new fur­nish­ings and fit­tings, equip­ment and ac­tiv­i­ties.
