Wimmera agricultural machinery dealer Emmett Group has continued to expand with the acquisition of a dealership in Oakbank, South Australia.

Emmetts, with four Victorian and six South Australian branches, confirmed it had bought Paech Motors in the Adelaide Hills as part of a John Deere dealer consolidation trend.

Emmetts’ historical headquarters is at its Rupanyup branch. Its other branches are in Horsham, Warracknabeal, Swan Hill, Kadina, Roseworthy, Murray Bridge, Parndana, Pinnaroo, Renmark and now Oakbank.

Emmett Group is a family-owned, Victorian and South Australian company that underwent major expansion in 2015, which included the acquisition of South Australia’s Rosenburg Machinery Group. The move to buy Paech Motors has filled geographical gaps between the Emmetts branches.

The Paech staff will join the Emmetts team and remain at the branch.

Emmett Group managing director Peter Emmett said it was exciting to be expanding the business.

“With the company size we hope to build on the excellent reputation for service Roger Paech, family and staff members have built up over the years,” he said.

“The Emmett Group is committed to South Australia and Victoria and the customers who purchase our products.

“We are as committed to Australian agriculture and ground care as you are.”

Emmetts is a family owned company, started by Jack Emmett in Rupanyup in 1957.

Jack’s four sons own Emmetts and sit on a management board.
