The inaugural Women’s Fashion and Wellbeing Market has raised $1300 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The event, at Nhill Memorial Community Centre on Saturday, was designed to celebrate International Women’s Day. Hindmarsh Shire mayor Ron Ismay hailed the event a huge success. “Council’s community development team has been working with dedicated community members to create an event for women to relax, enjoy some retail therapy and to celebrate a great day,” he said. “The event had a fantastic turnout with many community members travelling from all across the shire to celebrate International Women’s Day. Thank you to all of the private stall-holders including the Nhill Cancer Volunteer Group and West Wimmera Health Service for volunteering their time to be at the event.” Jeanette Morrison, left, and Pam May are pictured at a fashion stall.
