Anne wins Rotary car

-

Hopetoun’s Anne Robertson is the owner of a new $33,808 Ford Escape SUV vehicle after Horsham East Rotary Club sold her the winning ticket in a major western Victorian raffle.

Ms Robertson bought the ticket, part of Rotary Club of Ballarat South’s Community Assistance Car Raffle, from Horsham Plaza during school holidays.

Horsham East Rotary Club also received a $1000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Horsham club car-raffle co-ordinator Zane Bell said ‘a small army’ of volunteers had sold tickets from September through to the end of December.

“I had the pleasure of meeting Anne personally for a photo shoot with the new car at Lake Lascelles in Hopetoun. She was very excited to have won the car,” he said.

The Community Assistance Car Raffle has been running for many years and is designed to give small, not-for-profit clubs and community groups an opportunity to raise money.

Horsham East Rotary Club is one of the largest regular money-raisers involved in the raffle.
