Pink day success
A Horsham Golf Club Pink Lady Golf Day attracted 101 patrons and competitors and raised more than $6000 for Breast Cancer Network Australia.
Players from Melbourne, Portarlington, Barham, Edenhope, Warracknabeal, Goroke, Natimuk and Minyip, as well as Horsham, took part in the event.
A team of Trudy Parker, Elaine Milbourne, Erin Schultz and Jenny Clarke won a front nine holes and Kath Strudwick, Bev Price, Marg Moore and Brenda Strudwick won a back nine.
Sponsors provided prizes for a raffle, which generated $800. Mackays Jewellers gave a $600 Swarovski watch as first price, which was won by Colleen Grant. Organisers said they had hoped to raise about $4000 and were overwhelmed with the final tally.
