Steps to mental health recovery
Wimmera people struggling with depression can learn keys to recovery during a three-session program in Horsham.
Delhuntie Youth Care’s Brendan Scale, who has more than 25 years’ experience as a counsellor helping people improve their lives, will run the program.
“Participants will learn proven practical tips and strategies to improve their mood and regain their life, in a safe and supportive environment,” Mr Scale said.
“We’re running the program in response to the huge issue of mental health and depression, which affects people from all walks of life.”
Mr Scale said people did not have to be diagnosed with depression to participate.
“A lot of people go undiagnosed. This is a community health program and anyone who is feeling down and would like some help can be part of it.”
Mr Scale will lead the program on three Tuesdays – April 24, May 8 and May 22 – from 7pm to 8pm.
He will deliver the sessions in Horsham Seventh Day Adventist Church’s seminar room in Wilson Street, Horsham.
The program costs $25 and people can call Mr Scale on 0448 816 695 or email del[email protected] gmail.com to book. Spots are limited.
