Poppy tributes
A cross symbolically made from scrap timber and featuring knitted poppies went on display at Horsham RSL this week.
Combined Probus Club of Horsham president Kola Kennedy, with help from knitter Julie Savage, made the cross to commemorate the centenary of Anzac.
The pair also worked on a knitted poppy wreath for the Royal Victorian Association of Honorary Justices Wimmera Branch for a commemoration service in Horsham yesterday.
The red poppies represent soldiers, red and white, nurses, white, civilians and purple, animals involved in armed conflict.
