Show us your wheels and toys

-

Motor-vehicle enthusiasts can make a beeline for Dergholm on Sunday for an inaugural ‘Show us your wheels and toys day’.

The event will include hotrods, vintage caravans, classic cars, chrome-bumper cars and motorbikes and will be part of the first-ever Dergholm Campout weekend.

Event organiser Sammy Cooper said the wheels and toys event would be a highlight of the campout weekend.

“We are expecting a huge display of more than 200 vehicles and vintage caravans of all sorts and descriptions,” he said.

“There will be a huge display on the recreation reserve oval of people’s pride and joys in automotive wheels, toys and hobbies.

“There will also be a jumping castle, face-painting, temporary tattoos and rocker-cover racing to keep the kids entertained.”

Mr Cooper invited traders, trash and treasure and swap meet site-holders to attend the event to sell their wares.

“Sites are free and entry to the event is by gold coin donation for everyone over 14,” he said.

“Members of the Dergholm community will man food stalls, selling a variety of food to the public.”

People can call Mr Cooper on 0437 356 507 for more information.
