Veterans primed for Minyip golf

Wimmera veteran golfers will take their regular stableford competition to Minyip on May 14 after playing at Murtoa.

Competition at Murtoa attracted 55 golfers. Horsham’s Harry Conway won A Grade with 42 points, winning on countback from Les Errington, Natimuk.

There was a tight finish in B Grade with Dennis Hutchinson, Toolondo, scoring a round-ofthe-day 47 from Horsham golfer Ron Pouliot, 46 points.

A C Grade trophy went to David Schache, Drung, with 39 points from Renn Williamson, Horsham, 37. Nearest the pins: Third, Ron Pouliot; sixth, Mal Elliott; 12th. Elston Arnold; 14th, Con Jenkins.
