An intersection on the Henty Highway at Wonwondah, south of Horsham, has undergone a $100,000 realignment to improve driver safety.
Labor Member for Western Victoria Jaala Pulford said the upgrade removed a dangerous three-way intersection at Curtis Road, the Henty Highway and North East Wonwondah Road.
On average 670 vehicles travel through Wonwondah via the Henty Highway each day, with 30 percent of traffic made up of heavy vehicles.
Ms Pulford said the intersection was the site of a major crash in 2015.
“This simple fix will make this notorious intersection at Wonwondah safer and easier to use for locals, freight operators and visitors,” she said.
