New Hornets partnership
Horsham Hornets have landed their first major offseason coup, signing JG King Homes as the men’s team official naming-rights partner for the next three Country Basketball League seasons.
The team will now be known as the JG King Horsham Hornets.
Horsham Amateur Basketball Association committee member Danny Whiteman said the committee was thrilled with the partnership.
“We are delighted to have JG King Homes join the HABA family. They are a long-standing and progressive business with regional roots and a history of achievement since their beginnings over 35 years ago,” he said.
“These are the same values in which our organisation shares.
“We look forward to a mutually beneficial and rewarding partnership with JG King Homes for the next three years.
“The club would also like to acknowledge the support of previous naming partner Howdy for their contribution over the past three seasons.
“We were able to deliver a championship with their involvement and thank them for their support in our journey to hanging a banner.”
JG King Homes marketing manager Atiya Jeka said the decision to partner with the Hornets for the next three years had a terrific upside, with the company looking to further entrench itself in the Wimmera community.
“We are excited to be partnering with the Horsham Hornets for the next three seasons,” she said.
“Their culture of success and ability to nurture home-grown talent is something we admire and the opportunity to align our brand with theirs is something we see great value in.”
Both the JG King Horsham Hornets and Horsham Amcal Lady Hornets teams start their 2018-2019 CBL seasons in October.
