Schools appoint chaplain

Stawell and Stawell West primary schools have pooled resources to appoint a chaplain to help ensure the wellbeing of staff, students and visitors.

Michael Lewis’s appointment as chaplain coincides with the schools’ aim to develop a culture of care and compassion.

Chaplains can provide programs and events for students and staff, a listening ear and be available for people in need.

Stawell Uniting Church donated money from its recent art exhibition to both schools to support programs.

Stawell Primary School has dedicated its donation towards chaplaincy work at the school, while Stawell West, in consultation with Mr Lewis, is dedicating its contribution to science in the school.
