Wimmera trifecta
It was an all-wimmera training trifecta at Horsham Racing Centre last week as trotters crossed the finish line in a 1700-metre mobile start sprint.
Four-year-old mare Majestic Pride notched up her maiden victory for Ararat trainer-driver Michael Bellman and her owner-breeders Gary and Tracy Hull.
Majestic Pride raced outside the leader for the entire journey.
The runner-up Lochlee Jacob – James Herbertson – continued to defy his 12 years and 110 career starts for Ararat trainer Ron Pragg and owners Kevin Cook and Shannon Tate, producing another brave effort.
Third placegetter Allawart Bob – Aaron Dunn – should soon break through for a victory for Murtoa owner-trainer Laurie Young and his brother Gary of Banyena.
