Stawell rehab centre to open to public
Stawell Regional Health will open its Community Rehabilitation Centre to the public from 10.30am to 1pm on Monday.
The centre is in B Building at Stawell Regional Health in Sloane Street.
Primary care manager Rhys Duncan said life could be unpredictable, with farm accidents, car crashes, hiking misadventures, stroke, heart attack, cancer, planned surgeries and more leading to devastating injury and disability.
“For some people this requires a period of recovery and rehabilitation,” he said.
“It is important the community knows that rehabilitation services are available in Stawell.
“We want to showcase this facility and the services that run from it. They are high class and loved by those who are using them.”
Visitors will have an opportunity to hear from a speaker who uses the centre, view tai chi and exercise demonstrations, participate in health and wellness workshops, tour the oncology department and join staff members for a free lunch during the open day.
