Celebrate U3A

Horsham and District University of the Third Age will celebrate its 30th birthday with a market day on Saturday.

The event, in the car park of the group’s headquarters at Horsham Railway Station, will be from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

The market will feature a variety of stallholders that offer household items, art works, handmade craft, books and bric-a-brac. There will also be a large garden stall.

The U3A birthday market day and celebrations will also involve a major raffle and sausage sizzle. Other refreshments will also be available.

Horsham U3A membership has blossomed since the group’s inception and now has almost 320 people aged between 70 and 90 enrolled in classes.

The mature-age organisation is dedicated to providing learning opportunities and keeping people busy and engaged.
