Primary school students across Hindmarsh Shire had a reminder about the benefits of an active lifestyle after participating in Vichealth’s Walk to School program.

Hindmarsh Shire Council organised the program and more than 300 eager students participated.

Hindmarsh mayor Ron Ismay said it had been wonderful to receive feedback from students, parents and schools detailing how much they enjoyed participating in the program.

“The whole aim of the program is to get young people active and to understand the benefits of walking and living an active lifestyle,” he said.
