Resourcesmart schools party

Grampians Central West Waste and Resource Recovery Group has organised the event to celebrate schools working to improve sustainability practices and taking part in an energy challenge.

“We are really excited about having both ‘Get Grubby’ stars ‘Dirt Girl’ and ‘Costa the Garden Gnome’ host the Resourcesmart Schools Celebrations this year,” she said.
“This is a great way to congratulate the students, teachers and the whole school community on the work they have done this year.”
Grampians Central West Waste and Resource Recovery Group manages Sustainability Victoria’s Resourcesmart Schools program across the region. The program promotes sustainability in all aspects of a school including operations, curriculum and community engagement.
‘Granny Skills’ guru Rebecca Sullivan will join the Get Grubby stars to celebrate with the students.
There will also be a ‘pitch your project’ activity for schools to start planning an environmental project for their school or community in 2019 and a presentation of awards.
