-

Kaniva residents, former residents and friends took a trip down memory lane while celebrating the 90th anniversary of iconic Kaniva Town Hall.

The celebration began with a ‘high tea’ where, with a range of memorabilia on display, guests had the opportunity to catch up with old friends and neighbours and reminisce on the many milestones and community gatherings that occurred at the hall in the past 90 years.

Organiser Leah Davies said people shared stories of debutant balls, weddings, birthdays and other events, ‘with big smiles and mouths full of delicious cakes and slices’.

Celebrations continued the next night with a 1920s-themed ball featuring a jazz quintet, which impressed with its prowess.

Members of the band, Orlando Project, have played together for nearly 20 years.
