Last call out for lights en­tries

Peo­ple have un­til close of busi­ness to­mor­row to en­ter a re­gional Christmas lights com­pe­ti­tion. MIXX FM and 3WM ra­dio pro­mo­tions man­ager Kaycee Bould will an­nounce win­ners on air and on so­cial me­dia on Satur­day.

The Weekly Ad­ver­tiser and ra­dio sta­tions 3WM and MIXX FM or­gan­ised the com­pe­ti­tion in part­ner­ship with Hor­sham Plaza.

The com­pe­ti­tion is open to any­one liv­ing in the lis­ten­ing and read­er­ship ar­eas.

“This is your last chance. There have been some won­der­ful en­tries from right across the re­gion and I can’t wait to an­nounce the win­ners,” Miss Bould said.

“It’s been all about peo­ple mak­ing an ef­fort to show off their Christmas spirit and from what we’ve seen there’s plenty of spirit right across the Wim­mera, Grampians and Mallee.”

The house that wins the Christmas lights com­pe­ti­tion will re­ceive $500 cash from ACE Ra­dio as well as a $500 voucher to spend at Hor­sham Plaza.

Sec­ond prizewin­ner will re­ceive a $100 plaza voucher and third a $50 voucher. All prizes will also come with a gift pack from The Weekly Ad­ver­tiser, 3WM and MIXX FM.

Ms Bould stressed the com­pe­ti­tion was about how clever and cre­ative peo­ple have been in light­ing and dec­o­rat­ing their homes with a Christmas theme.

“There is no bet­ter op­por­tu­nity than right now to jump in the car with the kids and go for a Christmas lights tour. It just adds to the fun and fes­tiv­i­ties of Christmas in our won­der­ful part of the world,” she said.
