Pool safety boost

Kaniva Memo­rial Swim­ming Pool will pur­chase a new de­fib­ril­la­tor af­ter Land­mark Kaniva do­nated $1900 for the pool through Bayer’s Grow4 Good pro­gram.

Bayer do­nated $50 for ev­ery 20-litre pack of Pre­cept sold dur­ing a fundrais­ing pe­riod last year.

Land­mark Kaniva’s Michael Hodges said the fundrais­ing chal­lenge had re­ceived plenty of sup­port from the Kaniva com­mu­nity.

He said a de­fib­ril­la­tor would help make the pool safer.

“We’re ex­tremely grate­ful for the sup­port of the Grow4­good pro­gram in help­ing us to­wards the pur­chase of a de­fib­ril­la­tor for the swim­ming pool,” he said.

“It will pro­vide peace of mind for ev­ery­one who uses the fa­cil­ity.”

Bayer na­tional key ac­count man­ager Ben Thomp­son said the Grow4­good pro­gram had been en­thu­si­as­ti­cally em­braced by Kaniva and other com­mu­ni­ties across Aus­tralia.

“It is clear that our cus­tomers are com­mit­ted to their com­mu­ni­ties and it’s great that the Grow4­good pro­gram has made a ma­jor con­tri­bu­tion to the al­ready fan­tas­tic fundrais­ing ef­forts of ded­i­cated lo­cals,” he said.
