Pool safety boost

-

Kaniva Memorial Swimming Pool will purchase a new defibrillator after Landmark Kaniva donated $1900 for the pool through Bayer’s Grow4 Good program.

Bayer donated $50 for every 20-litre pack of Precept sold during a fundraising period last year.

Landmark Kaniva’s Michael Hodges said the fundraising challenge had received plenty of support from the Kaniva community.

He said a defibrillator would help make the pool safer.

“We’re extremely grateful for the support of the Grow4good program in helping us towards the purchase of a defibrillator for the swimming pool,” he said.

“It will provide peace of mind for everyone who uses the facility.”

Bayer national key account manager Ben Thompson said the Grow4good program had been enthusiastically embraced by Kaniva and other communities across Australia.

“It is clear that our customers are committed to their communities and it’s great that the Grow4good program has made a major contribution to the already fantastic fundraising efforts of dedicated locals,” he said.
