Money for ‘wellbeing’ projects

Northern Grampians Shire Council is inviting applicatio­ns for its second round of a community grants program.

Grants up to $5000 are available to community organisati­ons and groups that have projects that will ‘enrich the fabric of the Northern Grampians Shire community’.

The Com program is tied to the council’s 2017-21 Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.

To be eligible to apply, community organisati­ons must be incorporat­ed not-for-profit associatio­ns in the shire and provide direct benefit to shire residents.

Cr Karen Hyslop encouraged community groups and organisati­ons to apply. promoting its communitie­s.

Applicatio­ns for the round of funding close on March 11.

Applicants must also have discussed their project with the council’s community developmen­t officer.
