Ararat Ru­ral City Coun­cil’s ma­ter­nal child-health ser­vice will have its monthly free im­mu­ni­sa­tion ses­sion to­day.

Ses­sions are on the third Wed­nes­day of ev­ery month from 10.30am to 12.30pm and avail­able to chil­dren aged to four.

Coun­cil chief ex­ec­u­tive Tim Har­ri­son said the ses­sion was open to all par­ents and there was no need to book.

“The im­mu­ni­sa­tion ser­vice is of­fered free to all Ararat Ru­ral City chil­dren,” he said.

“And don’t for­get to bring your child’s health record along for our ma­ter­nal child-health nurses to up­date.”

Coun­cil nurses Therese Arnott and Brooke Jess run the im­mu­ni­sa­tion ses­sions at Ararat Ma­ter­nal and Child Health Cen­tre at 60 High Street.

Ms Arnott and Ms Jess also pro­vide im­mu­ni­sa­tion ses­sions in the Lake Bo­lac area on the sec­ond and fourth Wed­nes­day of each month, by ap­point­ment only. Peo­ple can call 5352 1813 for de­tails.
