Ready to ride

Stawell and Halls Gap primary schools are embracing this year’s national Ride2 School Day.

The day, on Friday, encourages students to be active by riding, walking, scooting or skating to school.

Ride2school organisers said the annual event was ‘Australia’s biggest celebration of active travel’.

More than 3000 schools across Australia have registered for the day.

Stawell Primary School physical education co-ordinator Jenna Thomson said the day would boost children’s confidence as well as physical health.
