Haven unites for special events

-

Haven has come together with bursts of colour and light projections in a two-fold event at Haven Primary School and Anzac Park.

The Re-generation project, launched 10 years from 2009 Victorian bushfires, reflected on the community’s journey of recovery and resilience following the devastation.

Community members were invited to add new stories to Haven’s time capsule that commemorates the 2009 Haven bushfire, before it is sealed for another 10 years.

The event, featuring projections onto building walls and into foliage, followed the ‘Run for Cover’ Haven Primary School fundraiser.

Participants took on obstacles and throws of colour along a 1.5-kilometre course, which helped raise money for a new outdoor multi-purpose learning area.

The two events brought Haven people together, linking a reflection of the past with a hopeful outlook on the future.
