Garden club event

Ararat Gardening Club will present ‘All Things Gardening’ at Ararat’s Alexandra Hall on Sunday.

The club has organised the community event with the theme ‘For the garden, from the garden, for the environment, from the land’ to encourage people to make the most of the outdoors.

Ararat Landcare Group and Ararat Community Garden representatives will promote their organisations at the event, from 10am to 3pm.

People will be able to buy produce, seeds, garden art, manures, fertilisers, mulches, plants, bird houses, homemade chocolates, macramé, gourd creations, ceramics, timber and more.

Ararat Mitre 10, Gwmwater and Lyal Eales are donating raffle prizes and Gwmwater will have gardening and water-saving hints to hand out.

La Vergne Lehmann from Grampians Central West Waste and Resource Recovery Group will also be in attendance with an information trailer.

There will also be a flower competition and organisers are welcoming extra stallholders.
