Magpies swoop on Eagles
On a cold, wet day of Mininera and District football, Great Western proved too good for SMW Rovers to remain unbeaten, Penshurst claimed the important scalp of Lismore-derrinallum and Wickliffe-lake Bolac had a massive win over the struggling Ararat Eagles.
The Magpies inflicted the biggest margin of defeat for the Eagles so far this season when they scored 50.23 (323) to just two points.
