In­spec­torate in­ves­ti­gates Yar­ri­ambi­ack

Vic­to­ria’s Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment In­spec­torate is ex­am­in­ing gov­er­nance pro­cesses and in­ves­ti­gat­ing spe­cific mat­ters at Yar­ri­ambi­ack Shire Coun­cil.

In­spec­torate staff mem­bers vis­ited the coun­cil’s Hopetoun de­pot to fol­low up on is­sues raised dur­ing the ex­am­i­na­tion. The visit in­cluded ac­cess­ing and view­ing records on site.

The in­spec­torate ac­tions are aimed at as­sess­ing gov­er­nance arrangemen­ts at the shire and mak­ing rec­om­men­da­tions any im­prove­ments.

Staff are work­ing with Yar­ri­ambi­ack Shire Coun­cil through this process and in­tend to pro­vide find­ings to the com­mu­nity ‘in due course’. for
