Inspectorate investigates Yarriambiack

Victoria’s Local Government Inspectorate is examining governance processes and investigating specific matters at Yarriambiack Shire Council.

Inspectorate staff members visited the council’s Hopetoun depot to follow up on issues raised during the examination. The visit included accessing and viewing records on site.

The inspectorate actions are aimed at assessing governance arrangements at the shire and making recommendations any improvements.

Staff are working with Yarriambiack Shire Council through this process and intend to provide findings to the community ‘in due course’. for
