‘Gems’ to host clinics

Horsham Amateur Basketball Association junior girls will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best female basketballers in the country.

Two members of Australia’s under-19 basketball team, known as the Gems – Jaz Shelley and Issie Bourne – will present clinics for the association’s under-10, under-12, under-14 and under-16 girls on Friday.

Under-10 girls will be from 4.15pm to 5.15pm, an under-12 session from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and a combined under-14 and under-16 session from 6.45pm to 7.45pm at Horsham Basketball Stadium. The cost of the sessions is $15 a player.

Association competition manager Rebecca Mcintyre said people could visit the association’s Facebook page for more information.
