St Ar­naud sta­tion re­opens

St Ar­naud’s her­itage-listed and freshly ren­o­vated rail­way sta­tion will fea­ture a com­mu­nity open day on Satur­day.

The Queens Av­enue sta­tion will be open from 10am to 4pm and fea­ture a va­ri­ety of at­trac­tions.

The 1878 sta­tion un­der­went ren­o­va­tion un­der Vic­track’s Com­mu­nity Use of Va­cant Rail Build­ings Pro­gram.

In part­ner­ship with Bendigo Bank, not-for-profit group, Raillery Hub is leas­ing the premises from Vic­track.

The up­graded cen­tre in­cludes meet­ing rooms for com­mu­nity use, kitchen fa­cil­i­ties, a dis­abled-ac­cess toi­let, an in­door mar­ket space for re­gional pro­duc­ers, a com­mu­nity art gallery, an artists li­brary lounge and out­door en­ter­tain­ment ar­eas.

Raillery Hub plans to or­gan­ise speak­ers, pro­vide work­shops, ac­tiv­i­ties, events and ex­hibits based on com­mu­nity de­mand.
