St Arnaud looks to the future

The Weekly Advertiser Horsham - - News -

St Arnaud residents have participated in three workshops to help develop the Future Story for St Arnaud project.

The sessions, led by Jeder Institute experts, focused on equipping the St Arnaud community with practical tools and principles to discover and mobilise strengths.

Participants worked through an asset-based community-development approach, focusing on assets, strengths, abilities and potential. Northern Grampians Shire Cr Tony Driscoll said the workshops provided a perfect platform for the community to have a say in the future vision.

“All three sessions were well attended. Participants shared ideas, considered the liveability of our region and were respectful and encouraging,” he said.

“I commend the facilitators, co-ordinators and of course those who gave up their time to be part of the workshops.”

Community-led projects to emerge throughout the workshops included a St Arnaud Film Festival, Street Art, Enhancing Tourism, Revitalising Recreation Areas, Recreational Water, Social Enterprising and more.
