Long-dis­tance pi­geons soar

Hor­sham Rac­ing Pi­geon Club had three races last week­end, from Pimba, Glen­dambo and King Is­land.

Leigh Arnott had an ex­cep­tional week­end, win­ning two races, both on the north­west line, from Pimba and Glen­dambo in South Aus­tralia.

Both races are pres­ti­gious long-dis­tance races on the club’s 2019 race pro­gram. Pimba, close to Woomera Rocket Range, is 790 air­line kilo­me­tres from and Glen­dambo is 878km.

The Mcphee Fam­ily won the fea­ture race on the south­east line, a 355km race from King Is­land.

The Arnott fam­ily spon­sors this race in hon­our of the life-mem­ber the late Bob Arnott. Re­sults –
