Long-distance pigeons soar
Horsham Racing Pigeon Club had three races last weekend, from Pimba, Glendambo and King Island.
Leigh Arnott had an exceptional weekend, winning two races, both on the northwest line, from Pimba and Glendambo in South Australia.
Both races are prestigious long-distance races on the club’s 2019 race program. Pimba, close to Woomera Rocket Range, is 790 airline kilometres from and Glendambo is 878km.
The Mcphee Family won the feature race on the southeast line, a 355km race from King Island.
The Arnott family sponsors this race in honour of the life-member the late Bob Arnott. Results –
