Let there be light in Landsborough

The Landsborough community has a new opportunity shop where people can recycle and access clothes, household items, bric-a-brac, children’s toys, manchester and more.

‘The Lighthouse’ was opened at Landsborough Uniting Church with a community gathering. Reverend Susan Pearse said an enthusiastic band of people worked to spring clean, set up and open the outlet.

“Finding things we can use or want is a lot of fun and rotating goods to where they are most needed is another way of caring for the world,” she said. Rev Pearse said the opening involved a special project to raise money and awareness for refugees.

“With a great start, it is hoped ‘The Lighthouse’ will be open in Landsborough once a month,” she said.
