Kindergartens across the region are beneficiaries of the latest round of a State Government School Readiness Funding program.
Labor Member for Western Victoria Jaala Pulford announced Horsham, Ararat, Northern Grampians, Hindmarsh, Yarriambiack, West Wimmera and Buloke municipal councils were among funding recipients.
Horsham will receive $275,093 to support new programs and extra staffing across eight kindergartens. Northern Grampians will have $196,923 to share among four kindergartens, Ararat $90,048 for five, Hindmarsh $57,703 for four, Yarriambiack $8786 for three, West Wimmera $36,125 for three and Buloke $55,086 for five.
Services receive funding allocations based on the level of need from children in programs, with support available to all three and four-year-old children in funded programs including sessional and long-day care.
