Road work ramping up at Willaura

Reconstruction and widening works are ramping up on a 740-metre section of Yarram Gap Road between Heard and Sandhills roads at Willaura.

Ararat Rural City Council chief executive Tim Harrison said it was important to improve the safety of the road, which represented one of the region’s main tourism routes to the Grampians. The $482,000 upgrade is one of the many projects in the Ararat council’s capital works program.

Yarram Gap Road between Heard Road and Sandhills Road will be closed until mid-november as the work proceeds.
