Team Outpatients right for relay

-

Rural Northwest Health has confirmed Team Outpatients will ride in the Woody’s Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay next year.

Health group chief executive Ishbell Reid said team secretary Norma Decker and committee member Deb Glen had met with her to discuss entering the team.

“We are proud Team Outpatients has a desire to fundraise for the Hopetoun campus,” she said.

“Rural Northwest Health will provide support as it has in the past to assist with the team’s efforts.”

Mrs Decker said it was exciting and pleasing for committee members and riders to be able to commit to training and prepare for 2022 after missing the moneyraising team relay for the past two years.

“You will soon see riders out and about and we look forward to some young Hopetoun riders joining the team,” she said. Mrs Decker started training for her first event last year and said she was keen to join the team for the first time in 2022.

All riders and support crew will need to be double-vaccinated against COVID-19 to participate.

The April 2 and 3 Murray to Moyne, which includes three relay routes across western Victoria, raises money for health services and charities across Australia.
