Horsham Hockey Club officials have declared a come-and-try day a success.

Promotions officer Launa Schilling said more than 60 children learned the fundamentals of the game at Horsham College Community Oval on Dimboola Road on Sunday.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better day,” she said.

“It was fantastic. We had great weather and the community’s response was overwhelming.

“About 40 kids have either joined or expressed a keenness to participate in our term one Hookin2hockey program.”

The club’s next Hookin2hockey event is on March 2 from 4.45pm.

Ms Schilling said people interested in attending the program could call her on 0408 451 762 or visit Horsham Hockey Club’s Facebook page for more information.
