ROCKING EXHIBITION:
Horsham and District Lapidary Club welcomed more than 100 guests to its annual Gemstone and Mineral Exhibition. The exhibition, on Saturday and Sunday at the group’s Roberts Avenue headquarters, included demonstrations of gem faceting, silversmithing, jewellery cleaning, opal cutting, metal detecting displays and sales, and gems, jewellery and novelty stalls. Digby Smith polishes his petrified wood, a fossil that is created when plant material is buried and protected from decay, at the exhibition.
