MORNING TEA FOR LOCAL VOLUNTEERS Wednesday, 18 May – 10.30am

Ararat Rural City Council is hosting a special morning tea for volunteers to celebrate National Volunteer Week 2022. We encourage volunteers across the municipali­ty to attend the event so Council can recognise the generous contributi­ons you make across the municipali­ty.

Location: Alexandra Oval Community Centre, Warratah Avenue, Ararat

BARKLY STREET LINK TEMPORARY CLOSURE

Please be advised that due to redevelopm­ent works, the Barkly Street Link walkway between The Reject Shop and Lyall Eales will be closed from Monday 16 May to completion.

LOOKING TO ADOPT A FOUR-LEGGED FRIEND?

Bear, a male Staghound-cross, has been surrendere­d to the Ararat pound.

Council offers a reasonable adoption fee of $100 for dogs. An ‘expression­s of interest form’ can be found on Council’s website. Ararat Rural City Council community safety officers can assist with more informatio­n on pet adoption, call 5355 0920 or email locallaws@ararat.vic.gov.au.
