primary school leader will zero in on his school’s education journey next week as a statewide anniversary accompanies the school’s own historical milestone.
Horsham Primary School will celebrate its 165th anniversary this year and to mark the occasion will host school tours and family-friendly activities during Victoria’s Education Week.
Vice-principal Luke Fisher said Horsham Primary School’s anniversary would reflect on this year’s Education Week theme, 150 Years of Public Education, and commemorate the past and present of the school’s education.
Mr Fisher said Education Week was an opportunity for the primary school to highlight its ‘education journey’.
“This year, Horsham Primary School is 165 years old and we will be celebrating Education Week by conducting school tours for prospective and future families,” he said.
“We are also hosting a family fun afternoon where we will invite families into classrooms to join in maths games with their children.
“Parents are invited to come into our classrooms on May 26 at 2.30pm to engage in fun activities with their children.”
Families can tour facilities the school’s Baillie Street and Rasmussen Road campuses on May 24 and 26.
