The top four A Grade netball teams face off in the secondlast week of the Horsham District Football Netball League home-andaway season.
Kalkee and Noradjuha-quantong will go head-to-head in what is sure to be an intense game.
Kalkee will likely pull ahead to win, but will be challenged by the accurate shooting of the Bombers.
Edenhope-apsley and Laharum will have a chance to show what they are made of when they play in round 15.
With the Saints going from strength to strength, they could be too strong for the Demons this week.
In round 14, Edenhope-apsley overpowered Kaniva-leeor United with a fast-moving game.
Sacha Mcdonald looks to have hit her stride after returning to the Saints, shooting 45 of the team’s total 71 goals.
Emily Burgess was crucial in the Saints’ defence, while Emma and Nikki Hawker played well for the Cougars.
Kalkee defeated Natimuk United with a strong second-half performance.
After securing an early lead, the second quarter was even scoring before the Kees worked hard to increase the margin after half time.
Rianna Kuhne, in the midcourt, and Clair Mcdonald, in defence, worked hard for Kalkee all game.
Danielle Hanson and Olivia Sudholz were standouts for the Rams.
The Laharum and Pimpinio game averaged one goal every 42 seconds, with the Demons scoring 96 goals to the Tigers’ 29.
Laharum moved the ball efficiently across the court and was able to build on its lead throughout the four quarters.
Maddi Iredell, 42 goals, and Caitlin Story, 54 goals, combined well in the ring for the Demons.
Jayde Ellis and Tahlia Thompson worked hard in goals for the Tigers but were unable to match Laharum.
Shannon Couch was again instrumental for Noradjuha-quantong with 43 goals against Swifts on Saturday.
The Swifts tried to keep pace with Noradjuha-quantong, who were able to steadily increase the margin each quarter to win by 17 goals.
Stefanie Cooper also played well for the Bombers, while Kathryn Boag worked hard for Swifts.
Harrow-balmoral outplayed Rupanyup with a 50-goal win and strong defensive pressure allowing the Southern Roos to capitalise on opportunities to score.
Courtney Clough worked hard to feed the ball to Harrow-balmoral’s staple shooter Brittany Keller, who scored 57 goals, while Megan Little was a powerful force in defence.
Editha Davis and Gemma Morgan were best players for Rupanyup.
In round 15, Harrow-balmoral will be looking to put another four points on the board when it faces Swifts, who despite playing strong netball are unable to get the game to translate to the scoreboard.
Kaniva-leeor United is set for a comeback after a harsh loss to the Saints and will hope to keep its finals hopes alive with a win.
After a week off, Jeparit-rainbow will come out firing against Pimpinio and will have to capitalise on the opportunity to remain in the top six.
