NYC Artists in Residence Launch

The West Australian - - TODAY - WORDS EMMA BERGMEIER-VARIAN PICTURES ALAN CHAU

The sights, sounds and flavours of the city that never sleeps filled Five Bar in Highgate when Perth artists Lothar Konle, Tanya Voltchanskaya and Joel Crane unveiled a photographic love letter to New York. Featuring images of grimy shopfronts, quiet alleys and photogenic police officers, Artists in Residence, which is part of Telstra Perth Fashion Festival’s cultural program, provides a fresh perspective on one of the world’s most photographed destinations. Welcomed to the event by TPFF director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan and Five Bar owner Andy McIntyre, guests were treated to Cosmopolitans, gazpacho soup and Reuben sandwiches.
