I have to agree with J. Graham’s letter, A laughless PC society (Letters, 8/11).
When I was young I would have been flattered and delighted to be called “scrumptious” by a fellow worker.
Girls need to be mature enough to recognise when such remarks or wolf whistles are genuine appreciation, as opposed to when they are more sinister.
Eryn Jean Norvill apparently is not that mature. It isn’t easy these days for men to know where the line is drawn between admiration and offence.
