BLUES LET PICKETT GO
Top-five draft pick Jarrod Pickett has quit Carlton to return to family in WA.
Pickett, who was taken fourth overall by Greater Western Sydney at the 2014 draft, didn’t play a game for the Giants in two seasons, but managed 17 matches for the Blues after a trade in 2016.
He didn’t feature this season after surgery on a ruptured patella tendon in December.
The club cited his lack of motivation as the reason for the mutual decision.
“Both parties have made the decision to part ways now to allow Jarrod to get back home to his family,” Blues list manager Stephen Silvagni said.
