Giv­ing WA tourism wings

WA tourism will get a boost when Singapore Air­lines an­nounces to­day that it will raise its ca­pac­ity on flights be­tween Europe, North Asia and Perth.

Singapore Air­lines op­er­ates four ser­vices a day be­tween Perth and Singapore with sta­teof-the-art Boe­ing 787-10 and A350-900 air­craft. Its low-cost sub­sidiary Scoot op­er­ates a daily ser­vice. It is an­tic­i­pated con­nec­tion times to on­ward des­ti­na­tions from Perth will also be im­proved.

In the past 18 months, the air­line has in­tro­duced one-stop ser­vices from Perth to New York, Los An­ge­les and Seat­tle. Premier Mark McGowan is also ex­pected to re­veal ini­tia­tives to at­tract new air­lines to Perth.
